Boca's goalkeeper, Agustín Marchesín, referred to several recent situations in which he was involved. Marchesín commented on the importance of reaching decisive stages in competitions like the Copa Libertadores, where decisive goals can be scored. He recalled a goal by Thiago Neves in the semifinals of the 2008 Copa Libertadores that went through his hands and resulted in a tie.

Regarding a controversy that arose during the penalty shootout between Boca and Alianza Lima, Marchesín clarified that his substitution before the definition by Leandro Brey was a technical decision. He emphasized the relevance of maximum glory in those moments and mentioned that they are focused on winning the championship.

Moreover, Marchesín anticipated the match against Lanús in the round of 16 of the Liga Profesional de Fútbol Apertura Tournament. He spoke about the importance of being prepared and how plays are evaluated in which more could have been done. In this regard, he referred to a free-kick goal by Franco Mastantuono in the Superclásico against River, for which he was held responsible.

In response to criticisms from Pablo Miglore, a former goalkeeper, Marchesín responded without hesitation and firmly. He stated that he does not share the opinion of having made a mistake on that goal and highlighted Boca's team's ambition to face future challenges in the competition. Marchesín concluded by indicating that he would not speak negatively about a colleague in the professional realm.
